Endstation User Guides
Users are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the guides prior to their beamtime. Please refer any questions to the beamline staff. When in doubt, ask!
The Beamline 1.4 far-field synchrotron microspectroscopy user guide is linked here: 1.4 User Manual. Contents include general alignment of reflection and transmission experiments, basic spectral acquisition parameters, and setting up large-area mapping scans.
The 2.4 User Manual contains a quick-start guide for returning users as well as detailed instructions on using the NeaSpec endstation for near-field spectroscopy and imaging. Note: the system was recently upgraded and the tip change procedure is different.
The 5.4 User Manual has information on operating the AFM and FTIR at the SINS endstation.

Software
We recommend the following open source software programs for data analysis:
For AFM and near-field image processing: Gwyddion. The Gwyddion user guide can be found here.
For creating spectral analysis workflows: Orange and Quasar
If access to spectral fingerprint databases (Omnic, Thermo) is needed, please contact beamline staff to schedule access.
Users of beamline 2.4 can request a copy of the NeaPlotter software for analysis of Nano-FTIR data. Please be advised — the NeaPlotter software is not compatible with data collected at 5.4.
