ALS-U Status | This beamline will temporarily close at the start of the ALS-U dark time and will resume operations after a commissioning period. The increased ring energy will lead to an increase of the minimum energy of approximately 0.8 eV to 1.6 eV because of the changed undulator spectrum and higher heat load on the front-end optics. The new minimum energy will be determined during the recommissioning of the beamline during or after the dark time. For more information, see ALS-U Beamline Impacts and other ALS-U web pages. |

Additional notes | 4 open ports. Terminal 1: 170 (h) x 50 (v) µm2 Terminal 2: 360 (h) x 240 (v) µm2 Terminal 3: 400 (h) x 350 (v) µm2 Terminal 4: 560 (h) x 350 (v) µm2. Supports gas-phase samples. Two open ports deliver monochromatized light, two - undulator radiation. Different endstations can be attached to open ports. Most of them use mass-spectrometry to collect photoionization curves of unknown gas-phase species. |
