Our Users’ Executive Committee (UEC) continues to work closely with ALS management to navigate the ongoing pandemic. We are all hoping to resume some form of user operation in the not-so-distant future, based on guidelines provided by the U.S. Department of Energy, Berkeley Lab, and state and local policies. The UEC is in constant discussion with ALS management, providing them with ideas and feedback as the plan to resume operations is being developed. Please refer to announcements from ALS management for this information.
We are working on making the 2020 User Meeting, which will now take place as an online meeting on August 25–28, as rich and productive as they normally are. We will announce more details over the next few months.
