Attendees will get a preview of the student posters during the poster slam on Monday, August 15, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the same Zoom webinar as the plenary session. Then, join us on the Gather.Town platform from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. for both the student poster competition and general poster session.
If you would like to present a poster and/or enter the Student Poster Competition, please indicate your interest in the User Meeting registration form. You will be contacted to provide further information (deadlines listed below) before the User Meeting and given further instructions about how to set up your poster for the poster session using Gather.Town.
To be eligible for the student poster competition, you must be a student who has not yet completed a PhD. Student poster competition entrants will also need to prepare a single slide and participate in the poster slam. Space in the competition is limited and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a cash award for the winners.
The deadline to register for the student poster competition is July 15.
The deadline to register for the general poster session is July 29.

Student Poster Competition: Neville Smith Student Poster Award
Neville Smith was the Scientific Director for the ALS from 1994 to 2006. He was known not only for his scientific expertise, particularly in photoemission spectroscopy, but also for his wicked wit. As a great supporter of young scientists, his contribution is acknowledged by the naming of the Student Poster Award in his honor, beginning in 2014.
