Everything you need to know for this year’s ALS User Meeting, August 12–14, 2024
ZOOM LINKS
All registered attendees will be emailed the Zoom links for the various events a few days before the meeting.
PARKING
The lab has very limited parking and does not grant parking access to User Meeting attendees. Note that if you are staying at the Guest House during the meeting, you may park in the Guest House parking lot. You may be dropped off by a driver or take the Blue shuttle.
SHUTTLE
You will want to take the Lab’s Blue shuttle, which is the most convenient for accessing the meeting. This shuttle runs every ten minutes and has a regular stop at the Downtown Berkeley BART station. Let the shuttle driver know you will be attending the ALS User Meeting, and be prepared to show your government-issued identification at the gate.
HOTELS
Lodging is not provided as part of the User Meeting. However, there is a block of rooms being held at the LBL Guest House (which includes parking in their parking lot!) at a rate of $175/night. These reservations are made on a first-come basis. Instructions on reserving a room at the Guest House may be found here.
BADGES
Badges may be collected when you arrive at the Building 50 Auditorium. Please keep this badge with you throughout the week. It will be needed to gain access to the lab and to receive meals.
MEETING MAP
Our Plenary Session will take place in Building 50, with lunch served in Building 7W (located next to the Building 6 Patio). The building locations for our tutorials and workshops are highlighted in yellow in the map below:
