2026 Bay Area Light Sources Joint Users’ Meeting
September 20-25, 2026 | SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory | Menlo Park, California
This year’s meeting will, for the first time, bring together the user communities from all three light sources—the Advanced Light Source, the Linac Coherent Light Source, the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource—for a week of scientific exchange, new collaborations, and forward-looking discussion.
As part of the initial program development, we invite your suggestions for plenary speakers, as well as full-day or half-day workshops and tutorials. In keeping with the joint nature of this meeting, proposals that span topics, techniques, or communities across ALS, LCLS, and SSRL, or that are co-organized by users from multiple facilities, are strongly encouraged.
This opportunity presents a chance to contribute to the development of a program that aligns with shared scientific challenges, emerging methodologies, and new directions across the broader light source ecosystem. What topics would best support your research, foster new collaborations, or benefit the combined user community?
Please submit your ideas for speakers and workshops by March 13, 2026.
