The ALS “Science as Art” competition invites scientific images and photographs that show the aesthetic side of ALS data and instrumentation.
How to enter
To enter, fill out the entry form and upload a high-resolution (at least 300 dpi) file of your entry (.pdf, .eps, or .tiff preferred, but we will accept any standard image format). Each participant may submit up to three entries. Entries should be based on ALS work or feature the ALS facility or instrumentation in some way. The deadline for entry is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 18.
Finalist entries will be chosen by a panel of UEC and ALS staff and selected based on aesthetic value. Those images will be displayed during the ALS User Meeting poster session on October 2 and will be voted on by User Meeting attendees.
Winners will be announced at the User Meeting awards dinner on October 3 and will have the honor of having their art displayed at the ALS and in promotional materials.
