Consider putting forward an individual (or team) who has made a significant contribution to the scientific and/or user support programs at the ALS. UEC Update from March 2017 Meeting
The ALS Users’ Executive Committee met in mid-March. Topics of discussion included this year’s User Meeting and possible combined projects with the Molecular Foundry UEC. Users should mark their calendars for the next User Forum, to be held June 1 at 3:30 p.m. User Forums are an opportunity for users to learn about UEC activities and to bring up questions and concerns. Meet the New UEC Members
The results of the ALS Users’ Executive Committee (UEC) election are in, and six new members have been chosen, including a new student representative. They will each serve on the committee for three years (two years for the student representative), starting on January 1, 2017. Read more »
Student UEC Member Goes Above and Beyond
As a student representative to the ALS Users Executive Committee (UEC) for the past two years, Mahati Chintapalli has gained a better understanding of how the ALS functions as an organization, while the UEC has gained a devoted and outgoing member. She’s currently a PhD student in Materials Science and has been conducting research at the ALS since 2011. Read more »
