Spot size | Smallest 7um without pinhole; pinhole diameters available: 2 - 20 um |
Sample information | Vacuum compatible (p < 1e-7), sample heating (400 K) and cooling (20 K). Transmission geometry samples: need soft x-ray transparent substrates e.g. Si3N4 membranes. Reflection geometry samples: need <8mm lateral dimensions, < 3mm in height/thickness. |
Additional Notes | Twotheta scannable from -10 - 160deg with 50 mm translation perpendicular to the beam. Polarization is user selectable; linear (variable from horizontal to vertical) & circular (left and right-handed). Detectors: Flange mounted ANDOR CCD iKon L 936. Twotheta arm LBNL FastCCD & Si Photodiode. |
